Microsoft Office users who use the full range of applications at home or in the office are well advised to choose the Microsoft Office 2024 Standard Edition. All important programs are included: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access (Publisher is no longer included as it will be phased out in 2026). OneNote is now available to download from the Microsoft Windows Store so that you can quickly take notes and make them available on all devices via the cloud. Due to the large number of different programs, the standard version is primarily aimed at people who work at home or in the home office or who are looking for a powerful and reliable solution for organizing documents, spreadsheets, etc. in the office.

Make sure you are ready for the latest and greatest operating system from Microsoft!
These are the basic requirements for installing Microsoft Windows 11 on a PC. If your device does not meet these requirements, you may not be able to install Microsoft Windows 11 on your device and should consider buying a new PC. If you are unsure whether your PC meets these requirements, you can check with your PC original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or, if your device is already running Microsoft Windows 10, use the PC Health Check app to check compatibility (to download).

Switching a device from Microsoft Windows 11 Home mode to S mode also requires an Internet connection. Internet access is required for all Microsoft Windows 11 editions to perform updates and to download and use some functions. A Microsoft account is required for some functions. |

Function-specific requirements for Microsoft Windows 11
Some features in Microsoft Windows 11 have more stringent requirements than those listed in the Minimum Requirements section above. Below you will find some additional details on the requirements for important functions:
- 5G support requires a 5G-capable modem.
- Auto HDR requires an HDR monitor.
- BitLocker to Go requires a USB flash drive (available in Microsoft Windows Pro and higher editions).
- Client Hyper-V requires a processor with SLAT functions (Second Level Address Translation) (available in Microsoft Windows Pro and higher editions).
- Cortana requires a microphone and speaker and is currently available in Microsoft Windows 11 for Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States.
- DirectStorage requires an NVMe SSD to store and run games that use the "Standard NVM Express Controller" driver and a DirectX12 GPU with Shader Model 6.0 support.
- DirectX 12 Ultimate is available with supported games and graphics chips.
- Presence requires sensor that can detect human distance from device or intent to interact with device.
- Intelligent video conferencing require a video camera, a microphone and a loudspeaker (audio output).
- Multiple Voice Assistant (MVA) requires a microphone and a loudspeaker.
- Resolution For three-column snap layouts, a screen with a width of at least 1920 effective pixels is required.
- Mute/unmute via the taskbar requires a video camera, a microphone and a loudspeaker (audio output). The app must be compatible with the function in order to activate global muting.
- Spatial Sound requires supporting hardware and software.
- Teams requires video camera, microphone and loudspeaker (audio output).
- Touch requires a screen or monitor that supports multi-touch.
- Two-factor authentication requires the use of a PIN, biometric data (fingerprint reader or illuminated infrared camera) or a phone with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth functions.
- Voice Typing requires a PC with a microphone.
- Wake on Voice requires a modern standby power model and a microphone.
- Wi-Fi 6E requires new WLAN IHV hardware and drivers as well as a Wi-Fi 6E-capable AP/router.
- Microsoft Windows Hello requires a camera configured for near-infrared (IR) imaging or a fingerprint reader for biometric authentication. Devices without biometric sensors can use Microsoft Windows Hello with a PIN or a portable Microsoft-compatible security key.
- Microsoft Windows Microsoft Projection requires a display adapter that supports Microsoft Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM) 2.0 and a Wi-Fi adapter that supports Wi-Fi Direct.
